Parasha Terumah – Year 2 – The Tabernacle Design.
Shabbat Shalom, Nazarene family.
This week we will study the parasha Terumah, portion of year 2, where we will see the detailed instructions for the construction of the tabernacle, the portable sanctuary for the people of Israel. The specifications for the curtains and tapestries that must cover the Tabernacle are detailed, including the materials, colors and dimensions. In addition, the basis for its structure is established, providing instructions for the realization of the set-apart space and its compartmentalization.
Shemote (Exodus) 26:30
30 And you shall raise up the tabernacle according to its pattern which you were shown on the mountain.

Summary of the weekly study, Year two:
Shemote (Exodus) 26:1-30
In these verses detailed instructions are given for the construction of the Tabernacle, the mobile sanctuary of the Israelites in the wilderness. It specifies that the Tabernacle is to be covered with curtains of fine linen and wool dyed in specific colors, such as blue, purple, and scarlet, decorated with embroidered cherubim. These curtains are designed to be joined in panels and held on acacia wood structures, covered with gold. The instructions also include the design of the bases and frame of the Tabernacle, creating a sacred space that reflects the presence and glory of Yahweh among His people.
Melachim Aleph (1 Kings) 6:1-10
These verses describe the construction of Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem, beginning in the fourth year of his reign. It details the size and structure of the Temple, built of quality stone and cedar wood. The Temple has a main hall (the Sanctuary) and a separate space for the Set-apart place. The intricate decoration stands out, with carved wood and gilded details. The construction of the Temple is a manifestation of Solomon’s commitment to Yahweh and the centrality of worship in the life of Israel. The precision of the construction reflects respect and reverence for the sacred.
Yochanan (John) 16
In these verses, Yeshua prepares His disciples for His imminent departure, warning them of the difficulties they will face but comforting them with the promise of the Set-Apart (Holy) Spirit. He explains that the Spirit will guide them into all truth, comfort them and enable them to testify about Him. Yeshua also predicts His suffering and death, but assures them that His return will bring joy and peace. He tells them that, despite the tribulations, they should take courage, for He has overcome the world. This chapter teaches us about the importance of faith and dependence on the Set-Apart Spirit in times of trial.

Enjoy this fun activity with the whole family. Inside you will find development questions for the three weekly sections (Torah, Haftarah and Brit Chadashah). While the older ones discuss the questions and their answers, the younger ones can color the picture related to the teaching, solve a maze, find the 7 differences and much more. We encourage you to do it week by week and instill in your children the habit of studying Yahweh’s word as a family.
We hope you and especially your sons and daughters enjoy this effort. For it is through the study of the Scriptures that we can come to understand the love and care that Yahweh has always had for us. And also to perceive that He has been taking care of even the smallest detail, so that we can take care and enjoy all that He gives us. That is why it is so important that our children learn and grow up knowing that they are loved by the Creator of all that exists.
Shalom.
