Parashat Re’eh – Year 3 – Mercy That Feeds.

Shabbat Shalom, Nazarene family.

This week we will study the parashat Re’eh, portion of year 3, where we will see generosity in forgiving debts every seven years, trusting fully in Yahweh’s blessing. We will learn the importance of helping the needy with a joyful and unselfish heart, and we will read about the laws that protect those who serve loyally. We will also review the three main feasts of the year, where we will gather before Elohim to give thanks for the harvests and blessings received. In this study, we will understand that true justice is based on caring for others and celebrating with gratitude the abundance that is given to us with love.

Devarim (Deuteronomy) 15:11

Summary of the weekly study, Year three:

Devarim (Deuteronomy) 15:1-16:17

In these verses, we discover the importance of living with a generous heart toward our neighbors. We are taught to forgive debts and share our blessings with those who need them most, always trusting in Yahweh’s provision. Kindness should not be forced, but should spring from a spirit of gratitude for the freedom we have received. Furthermore, we are invited to celebrate the set-apart feasts to remember Elohim’s favors throughout the year. Justice and gratitude are the pillars of a healthy community that honors its promises. In this passage, we learn that our generosity reflects gratitude.

Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 66:15-24

In these verses, we observe the imposing majesty of Yahweh as He manifests His judgment upon the entire world. We are warned about the consequences of following our own paths and practicing rites that do not please His Set-apartness. However, there is also a shining promise of glorious restoration for those who are faithful to His covenant. All creation will be renewed, and people from every nation will come together to honor the Creator at His appointed times. Divine justice ensures that evil will be removed forever from His pure presence. In this passage, we learn that sincere obedience prepares us for glory.

Ma’asei (Acts) 15:36-41

In these verses, we see how a serious disagreement arises between two companions who served Yahweh with devotion. Although both wanted to strengthen the believers, they had different views on who should accompany them on their journey. This situation teaches us that human differences are real, but they do not stop divine purpose. In the end, the paths diverged so that the message could reach more corners of the world, demonstrating that nothing can prevent the work from moving forward with strength. Grace is manifested even in everyday personal conflicts. In this passage, we learn that Yahweh transforms disagreements into new opportunities.

And also to perceive that He has been taking care of even the smallest detail, so that we can take care and enjoy all that He gives us.
