Parasha Ki Tavo – Year 1 – Engrave in the tablet of your heart the Commandments

Shabbat Shalom, Nazarene family.

This week we bring the activity of the parasha Ki Tavo, in it we will see the laws for offerings and tithes, which are in remembrance of our hard life in Egypt and how Yahweh delivered us and blessed us with all kinds of blessings. In addition, the order is given to build an altar on Mount Ebal to offer burnt offerings to Yahweh, where all the words of the law (Torah) would also be written.

Devarim (Deuteronomy) 27:7-8

Summary of the weekly study, Year one:

Devarim (Deuteronomy) 26:1-27:10

These verses emphasizes gratitude and obedience to Yahweh. It instructs presenting the firstfruits as a thankful offering, recalling Israel’s liberation. The covenant with Yahweh is renewed, committing to follow His commandments. Stones are set up to inscribe the law, warning of curses for disobedience and blessings for faithfulness. This passage highlights the importance of acknowledging divine provision, gratefully fulfilling precepts, and remaining faithful to avoid negative consequences. It underscores the intimate relationship between Yahweh Elohim and His people, based on love, gratitude, and mutual responsibility.

Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 60:1-7

These verses proclaims the future glory of Zion. It encourages Jerusalem to rise and shine, for the light of Yahweh has come upon it. It will attract nations and kings, witnessing the greatness of Elohim. Wealth and abundance will flow toward it, bringing prosperity and honor. The children of Israel will return, along with foreigners, to worship Yahweh. This prophecy highlights restoration, the exaltation of Zion as a center of global worship, and the recognition of divine manifestation that will draw all nations to partake in the glory and blessings emanating from Yahweh’s presence in Jerusalem.

Luqa (Luke) 22:1-46

These verses portrays Yeshua preparing for the Last Supper with His disciples before His death on the stake. It depicts Judas’ betrayal as he negotiates Yeshua’s handover. During the supper, Yeshua shares with His disciples the bread and wine, symbolizing His body and blood. He forewarns of his imminent suffering and Kepha’s denial. In the Garden of Gethsemane, Yeshua prays in anguish, accepting the divine plan. Although His disciples sleep, they witness his distress. This narrative highlights betrayal, the prediction of suffering, and Yeshua’s submission to Yahweh’s will before his arrest.
