Parashat Vayakhel/Pekudei – Year 3 – Set-Apart to Yahweh.
Shabbat Shalom, Nazarene family.
This week we will study the parashat Vayakhel/Pekudei, portion of year 3, where we will see how the Israelites carefully prepare the sacred garments and tabernacle utensils according to Yahweh’s instructions. We will learn how Moshe checks that everything is correct before the inauguration. We will read about the dedication of each object and the importance of obedience in every detail. We will see how the cloud covers the tent and Yahweh’s glory fills the place, showing His presence. We will learn that preparation, obedience, and care are essential to dwell with Yahweh and follow His commands faithfully.
Shemote (Exodus) 39:30
30 Then they made the plate of the set-apart crown of pure gold, and wrote on it an inscription like the engraving of a signet: SET-APART TO YAHWEH.

Summary of the weekly study, Year three:
Shemote (Éxodus) 39:22-40:38
In these verses, we see how the Israelites complete the preparation of the tabernacle and the priestly garments, following in detail the instructions that Yahweh had given to Moses. Everything was done with dedication, accuracy, and obedience, demonstrating that holiness requires attention to every aspect of what is done for Yahweh. Moses inspects and approves the work, and then the cloud descends, showing that Yahweh accepts the work of His people and decides to dwell among them. In this passage, we learn that faithful obedience opens the door to Yahweh’s glorious presence.
Melachim Bet (2 Kings) 23:21-37
In these verses, we will see how King Josiah commands that Passover be celebrated to Yahweh in Jerusalem, a celebration that had not been done with such dedication since the days of the judges. We will read how Josiah removes idols and eliminates false worship practices, showing his desire to obey the Torah with all his heart. Although Yahweh is pleased with his faithfulness, we are also reminded that judgment on Judah would not be stayed because of past sins. In this passage, we learn that sincere obedience honors Yahweh, even though it does not always change the consequences of sin.
Yochanan Aleph (1 John) 5
In these verses, we will see how we are taught that loving Yahweh means keeping His commandments, and that these are not a burden. We will learn that faith in Yeshua gives us victory over the world and that He came with water and blood, testified also by the Spirit. We will read that those who believe in the Son have eternal life, and that we can pray with confidence knowing that Yahweh hears us. We will see the importance of turning away from idols and remaining faithful. In this passage, we learn that true life is in Yeshua, the Son of Yahweh.

Enjoy this fun activity with the whole family. Inside you will find development questions for the three weekly sections (Torah, Haftarah and Brit Chadasha). While the older ones discuss the questions and their answers, the younger ones can color the picture related to the teaching, solve a maze, find the 7 differences and much more. We encourage you to do it week by week and instill in your children the habit of studying Yahweh’s word as a family.
We hope you and especially your sons and daughters enjoy this effort. For it is through the study of the Scriptures that we can come to understand the love and care that Yahweh has always had for us. And also to perceive that He has been taking care of even the smallest detail, so that we can take care and enjoy all that He gives us. That is why it is so important that our children learn and grow up knowing that they are loved by the Creator of all that exists.
Shalom.
