Parasha Ekev – 2021
Shabbat Shalom, Nazarenes.
This week we continue with the reading of the book of Deuteronomy, in the parasha Ekev.
In these chapters we continue to see Moses reminding the people of Israel of Yah’Elohim’s law. Yahweh is constant in reminding us of the blessings that we will obtain by keeping His commandments, and He also always warns us not to stray from His law, because if we do not keep it, bad things will come into our lives that He wants to prevent us from doing. Therefore, as His people, we must always remember and fulfill all His instructions so that we may do well.
Deuteronomy 8:10-11
10 And whenever you eat and are satisfied, you shall bless Yahweh your Elohim for the good land which He has given you.
11 Beware lest you forget Yahweh your Elohim, and fail to keep his commandments, his judgments, and his statutes, which I command you this day.
This week corresponds to the reading of the texts
- Deuteronomy 7:12 to 11:25
- Isaiah 49:14 to 51:3
- John 13:31 to 15:27
We hope you and especially your sons and daughters will enjoy this endeavor. For it is through the study of the Scriptures that we can come to understand the love and care that Yahweh has always had for us. And also perceive that He has been taking care of even the smallest detail, so that we can take care and enjoy all that He gives us. That is why it is so important that our children learn and grow up knowing that they are loved by the Creator of all that exists.
Shalom
