Parashat Ki Tisa – Year 3 – I Will Reveal My Glory.
Shabbat Shalom, Nazarene family.
This week we will study the parashat Ki Tisa, portion of year 3, where we will see how Moshe seeks Yahweh’s presence and asks Him to walk alongside Israel on their journey. We will learn that closeness to Elohim brings security, direction, and confidence in the midst of challenges. We will read how Yahweh reveals His compassion, mercy, and faithfulness, showing that He is just but also full of goodness. We will see the importance of the renewed covenant and of obeying His commandments as a sign of love and commitment. We will learn that a relationship with Yahweh transforms, just as Moshe’s face shone after speaking with Him.
Shemote (Exodus) 33:18-19
18 And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.”
19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of Yahweh before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
This week corresponds to the reading of the texts (in bold):
- Shemote (Exodus) 30:11-31:17 / 31:18-33:11 / 33:12-34:35
- Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 36:1-21 / 36:22-38 / 37
- Mattityahu (Matthew) 15:1-20 / 15:21-39 / 23
Summary of the weekly study, Year three:
Shemote (Ćxodus) 33:12-34:35
In these verses, Moses intercedes for the people of Israel and shows his deep desire that Yahweh’s presence not depart from them. He recognizes that without divine guidance there is no true identity or purpose. Yahweh responds by revealing his character of mercy, justice, and faithfulness, confirming the covenant with Israel and renewing his commandments. Also noteworthy is the transformation of Moses, whose face shines after being in the presence of Elohim, as a sign of the power of that communion. In this passage, we learn the importance of seeking the divine presence and living in constant obedience.
Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 37
In these verses, the prophet Ezekiel receives a vision of a valley filled with dry bones, and Yahweh shows him how His spirit can bring them back to life. We will see how the message symbolizes the restoration of Israel, bringing hope where there was despair and spiritual death. We will learn that obedience and trust in Yahweh are essential to experiencing renewal. We will read that Yahweh’s promise includes reunification, life, and strength for His people. In this passage, we learn that Yahweh can transform the dead into the living and completely restore those who trust in Him.
Mattityahu (Matthew) 23
In these verses, Yeshua speaks to the crowd and His disciples about the hypocrisy of religious leaders, showing how they sometimes appear righteous on the outside but are full of injustice on the inside. We will see how His words teach us to discern between appearance and true obedience to Yahweh. We will learn the importance of acting with sincerity, humility, and love rather than seeking human recognition. We will read warnings about true righteousness and personal responsibility before Yahweh’s laws. In this passage, we learn that true righteousness is reflected in the heart and in actions.

Enjoy this fun activity with the whole family. Inside you will find development questions for the three weekly sections (Torah, Haftarah and Brit Chadasha). While the older ones discuss the questions and their answers, the younger ones can color the picture related to the teaching, solve a maze, find the 7 differences and much more. We encourage you to do it week by week and instill in your children the habit of studying Yahweh’s word as a family.
We hope you and especially your sons and daughters enjoy this effort. For it is through the study of the Scriptures that we can come to understand the love and care that Yahweh has always had for us. And also to perceive that He has been taking care of even the smallest detail, so that we can take care and enjoy all that He gives us. That is why it is so important that our children learn and grow up knowing that they are loved by the Creator of all that exists.
Shalom.
