Parashat Ki Tavo – Year 3 – Two Paths One Choice.
Shabbat Shalom, Nazarene family.
This week we will study the parashat Ki Tavo, portion of year 3, where we will see how Yahweh promises to give us victory over our enemies and bless all the work of our hands if we are obedient. We will learn that we will be a set-apart people consecrated to Elohim, standing out among the nations of the earth because of our faithfulness. We will read about the importance of keeping every word of His covenant in order to prosper in everything we do. Finally, we will remember the wonders He did for us in the wilderness, understanding that His protection sustains us. In these pages, we will learn to walk with complete confidence and gratitude.
Devarim (Deuteronomy) 28:9
9 “Yahweh will establish you as a set-apart people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of Yahweh your Elohim and walk in His ways.
This week corresponds to the reading of the texts (in bold):
- Devarim (Deuteronomy) 26:1-27:10 / 27:11-28:6 / 28:7-29:8
- Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 60:1-7 / 60:8-14 / 60:15-22
- Luqa (Luke) 22:1-46 / 22:47-23:17 / 23:18-56
Summary of the weekly study, Year three:
Devarim (Deuteronomy) 28:7-29:8
In these verses, we discover that true prosperity and victory over obstacles depend on our loyalty to the Creator. When we decide to listen to His voice, Yahweh opens His treasures to bless every task we perform with our hands. We are reminded that we are a people set apart to shine His light before all the nations of the world. Even when we face great challenges, His mighty hand guides and sustains us always, just as He did in the past during the wilderness. The key to success lies in keeping His covenant. In this passage, we learn that obedience always brings blessing.
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 60:15-22
In these verses, Yahweh promises to transform our sadness into eternal joy that will never end. Although we once felt alone or abandoned, we will now be a source of pride forever and a delight for all future generations. Elohim will replace the old with new and valuable treasures, bringing peace and justice as our guiding principles. There will be no more violence or destruction in our lands, because His divine light will shine upon us constantly, never fading. We will all be a righteous people who will inherit the promised land forever under His care. In this passage, we learn that Yahweh renews our eternal glory.
Luqa (Luke) 23:18-56
In these verses, we observe Yeshua’s trial before the crowd and His surrender to death out of love. Although He was innocent, He was condemned while a criminal was released in His place, demonstrating His voluntary sacrifice. On His way to the cross, He showed compassion and forgave those who mistreated Him, trusting fully in Yahweh’s plan. His death brought powerful signs, and He was buried with respect by pious hands in a new tomb. Everything that happened fulfilled the divine promises for the salvation of the whole world. In this passage, we learn that Yeshua’s surrender opened the way to Elohim.

Enjoy this fun activity with the whole family. Inside you will find development questions for the three weekly sections (Torah, Haftarah and Brit Chadasha). While the older ones discuss the questions and their answers, the little ones can put together a puzzle related to the lesson, solve a maze, find the 7 differences and much more. We encourage you to do it week by week and instill in your children the habit of studying Yahweh’s word as a family.
We hope you and especially your sons and daughters enjoy this effort. For it is through the study of the Scriptures that we can come to understand the love and care that Yahweh has always had for us. And also to perceive that He has been taking care of even the smallest detail, so that we can take care and enjoy all that He gives us. That is why it is so important that our children learn and grow up knowing that they are loved by the Creator of all that exists.
Shalom.
