Parasha Shoftim – 2022

Shabbat Shalom, Nazarenes.

This week in parasha Shoftim we will learn the importance of appointing righteous judges, and righteous judgments. We also learn that the kings in Israel have the responsibility to know the Torah and to never magnify their hearts above their brethren or turn away from Yahweh’s commandments ever (so, too, must all the children of Israel).

Deuteronomy 16:20
20 That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which Yahweh your Elohim giveth thee.

This week corresponds to the reading of the texts

  • Deuteronomy 16:18 to 21:9
  • Isaiah 51:12 to 52:12
  • Matthew 26:47 to 27:10

We hope you and especially your sons and daughters will enjoy this endeavor. For it is through the study of the Scriptures that we can come to understand the love and care that Yahweh has always had for us. And also perceive that He has been taking care of even the smallest detail, so that we can take care and enjoy all that He gives us. That is why it is so important that our children learn and grow up knowing that they are loved by the Creator of all that exists.

Shalom
