Welcome To The Study Of The Weekly Parashiot

In Shemote (Exodus) 12:2, Yahweh tells us to begin His year just before the Pesach (Passover). This is established not by rabbinic or Karaite tradition! Rather, the new year is timed so that the first ripe sheaf of aviv (medium dough) barley will be ready to offer on the first day of the week following the Pesach (Passover). This is why we renew our parasha calendar just prior to Pesach.

We attempt to follow a modified Second Temple Period format. We focus first on the Torah and Haftara readings that were used in Yeshua’s time (with Isaiah 53 restored). Then we add pertinent Brit Chadasha (Renewed Covenant) readings to show how what Yeshua taught is 100% in keeping with His Father’s Torah. (Different presenters may change the Brit Chadasha [and even the Haftarah] readings as needed, to deliver their Torah message.)

Please find below a chronological list of the annual parashiot—and below that you will find this year’s parasha readings, with their dates.

May Yahweh our Elohim bless you and guide you in your study of His Torah portions, so that we all learn to do His will (and not our own). Amein.
