Parasha Tetzaveh – Year 2 – Dedicated for Service.
Shabbat Shalom, Nazarene family.
This week we will study the parasha Tetzaveh, portion of year 2, where we will see that Yahweh instructs Moshe (Moses) on the making and consecration of the priestly garments and the consecration of Aaron and his sons as priests. In addition, the creation of the mantle of the ephod is detailed, including a border with pomegranates and golden bells. Later, the rituals for consecration are described, in order to ensure the holiness and purity necessary to perform priestly functions in serving Elohim and the people of Israel.
Shemote (Exodus) 29:1-2
1 “And this is what you shall do to them to hallow them for ministering to Me as priests: Take one young bull and two rams without blemish,
2 and unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil (you shall make them of wheat flour).

Summary of the weekly study, Year two:
Shemote (Exodus) 28:31-29:18
These verses detail the divine instructions for the consecration of the priests and their vestments. It describes the robe of the high priest’s ephod, made of blue, with pomegranates and bells on its borders. It also explains the consecration of Aaron and his sons as priests through purification rituals, including baths, clothing and anointings. A bull is commanded to be offered as an atoning sacrifice, two rams for consecration and to use their blood on the altar and on the priests. These rituals symbolize the sanctification and dedication of the priests to serve Yahweh and mediate between Him and the people of Israel.
Shemuel Aleph (1 Samuel) 15:10-23
These verses relate the disobedience of King Shaul (Saul) to Yahweh’s instructions, transmitted by the prophet Shemuel (Samuel). Yahweh orders Shaul to completely destroy the Amalekites and all they possess. However, Shaul and his army spare King Agag and the best of the cattle. Elohim expresses to Shemuel his regret for having made Shaul king, due to his disobedience. Shemuel confronts Shaul, who tries to justify his actions. Shemuel rebukes him, stating that obedience to Yahweh is more valuable than sacrifices, and declares that Elohim has rejected Shaul as king.
Marqaus (Mark) 5:1-20
These verses narrate the deliverance of a man possessed by many demons in the region of the Gadarenes. Yeshua finds the man living among tombs and with superhuman strength. The demons, calling themselves “Legion”, beg Yeshua not to expel them from the area and ask to be sent into a herd of swine. Yeshua agrees, the demons enter the pigs and they rush into the sea and drown. The people, frightened, ask Yeshua to leave. The freed man wants to follow Yeshua, but Yeshua instructs him to stay and tell his own what Elohim has done for him.

While the older ones discuss the questions and their answers, the younger ones can color the picture related to the teaching, solve a maze, find the 7 differences and much more. We encourage you to do it week by week and instill in your children the habit of studying Yahweh’s word as a family.
We hope you and especially your sons and daughters enjoy this effort. For it is through the study of the Scriptures that we can come to understand the love and care that Yahweh has always had for us. And also to perceive that He has been taking care of even the smallest detail, so that we can take care and enjoy all that He gives us. That is why it is so important that our children learn and grow up knowing that they are loved by the Creator of all that exists.
