Parasha Tazria / Metzorah – Year 2 – Obedience in Healing.
Shabbat Shalom, Nazarene family.
This week we will study the parasha Tazria / Metzorah, portion of year 2, we will see Yahweh’s laws for skin and disease. Elohim taught Moshe (Moses) and Aharon how to identify leprosy, a skin disease, and how affected people should separate themselves so as not to make others sick. We will also see how a priest could declare someone healthy and how that person should make an offering to Yahweh to be welcomed back into the community. We will learn about the importance of cleanliness and following Yahweh’s instructions.
Vayiqra (Leviticus) 14:28-29
28 And the priest shall put some of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the trespass offering.
29 The rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before Yahweh.

Summary of the weekly study, Year two:
Vayiqra (Leviticus) 13:40-14:32
In these verses, Elohim establishes rules for handling skin diseases, especially leprosy. It explains how a priest was to examine the affected person and determine whether he was sick or healthy. If someone had leprosy, he was to live outside the camp until he was cured. If he recovered, the priest declared him clean after a special ritual with two birds, water and other elements. Afterwards, the person offered sacrifices to Yahweh and could rejoin the community. This teaching shows the importance of purity, obedience to Elohim and care for the welfare of all in the congregation.
Mishle (Proverbs) 31:1-9
In these verses, King Lemuel’s mother gives him wise advice on how to be a good leader. She warns him not to get carried away with alcohol or women, as these distractions can cause a king to forget his responsibilities. Instead, he advises him to be just and stand up for the oppressed. It tells him to speak up for those who cannot defend themselves, to protect the rights of the poor and needy, and to make sure that justice is done in all his decisions. These verses teach the importance of wisdom and justice in leadership.
Qolossim (Colossians) 3:9-17
In these verses, Shaul (Paul) teaches the believers to leave behind their old way of living and dress with the new attitudes that reflect Yeshua. He tells them to stop lying and abandon sinful behaviors. Instead, they are to clothe themselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, forgiving one another as Yahweh forgave them. Above all, they should love one another, for love unites all in perfect harmony. Furthermore, Shaul encourages them to let the peace of Messiah rule in their hearts, to be grateful, and to teach and encourage others with wisdom and spiritual songs.

And also to perceive that He has been taking care of even the smallest detail, so that we can take care and enjoy all that He gives us. That is why it is so important that our children learn and grow up knowing that they are loved by the Creator of all that exists.
